It’s over

The wedding is over. It was great. Enough, that I can’t get rid of my addiction of wedding magazines, blogs and anything else wedding related.

Going to the gym

I’ve been trying to go to the gym. So I can look skinnier for the wedding. (That’s another story) Since time is of the essence, I’ve been trying to go to the gym at the awful time of 6 am. I get up at 5:30 am, brush my teeth and go out the door. Yech. Then after working out, I realize I always forget something. Usually, it the hair dryer. So if you see a girl putting her head over the hand dryer, that’s me. Sometimes, a nice little grandma type person lends me her hair dryer.

I want something nicer

Because I have an outdoor reception in the blazing hot day in August, I need a tent. If I had really planned it, I would have pushed the reception time later and not had a tent. Oh Well. So off I went and paid the half on a tent rental. My mom and uncle have suggested I buy 10 x 10 pop up tents and lay them out, 1 per table. I said no, because its not a festival, its a wedding…I did say its not a circus either, but I take that back…WELCOME TO THE BIG TOP!

I lied, I did have a dream as a little girl. It was to get married outside. Have a garden wedding. Be with God, Nature, and the one I love. Of course everyone else who is invited. Only to realize, as I got older and more in touch with my Catholic faith that I could only get married in the church. Under his house. The outdoors is his house as well but being the dutiful Catholic girl, I will get married at my church. But I am not complaining. I can’t wait to get married in my hometown church.

Wedding planning #1: Get engaged. (CHECK)

Wedding planning #2: Figure out what to do next. (CHECK)

Wedding planning #3: Check finances…..(Woops!)

Awww. Planning a wedding sucks. I was never a girly girl. I didn’t plan what I wanted to be. Heck I thought being a bridesmaid would be cool. It wasn’t. All I did was stand and be pretty. But not pretty enough to eclipse the bride. So what if being a bride sucks? What if I fall down and break my ankle? What if I fall in the dirt? What if… I always seem to dwell on the what if’s. I Jas, need to think on the positives….I LOVE PLANNING A WEDDING! YIPPEEE!

Honestly, I am excited that I am going to marry the my one and true love, my best friend. It’s just that time is ticking until August 2007. (Here is where you hear the Da da Dum, Deal or No Deal)
